Stay here: The Rees Hotel in Queenstown

After successfully navigating our way out of the airport complex (only one small hitch at our first roundabout), we drove to The Rees Luxury Hotel and Apartments, named after William Gilbert Rees, a European explorer credited with founding Queenstown in the 1850s. The hotel is situated right on the edge of Lake Wakatipu, and Mark has outdone himself again with his selection: the two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite is perfect, and features a large balcony overlooking the water and surrounding mountains.
