The Wellington farmer's market

On Sunday morning, we gather at the local Denny’s for breakfast (yes, shoot me – we ate at Denny’s, but only because it was close and we were hungry). But before going in, we strolled through a local farmer’s market. It was early, but the place was already teeming with people, all looking to scoop up their fresh fruits and vegetables for the week. The displays were beautiful and the prices were very reasonable.

  1. That's a heck of a lot of produce! I am laughing because you passed it all up for Denny's...I would have done the same thing. Love those hash brown strings....

  2. Well, truth be told, I did buy two apples at the farmer's market -- and they were delicious -- they helped wash down the sausage and over-easy eggs from Denny's. The market reminded me of what Haymarket in Boston could be -- cleaner with fresher product. We could learn a lot from the New Zealanders!
